Talks

In normal times, I am available to give book talks in the Greater London area. These are all on hold at the moment due to Covid-19, but if you are interested in inviting me to be a guest speaker on one of my books, please feel free to contact me.

I have given talks for many years, to a wide range of audiences – from several thousands (in Covent Garden, London, on World AIDS Day 1996) to small groups of under ten people.

“We were delighted to welcome Dr Ann Richardson to the London Ladies Club. There are so few books written on the subject of grandmothers. Ann spoke with enthusiasm and passion and, to reinforce her points, read excerpts from her book. Celebrating Grandmothers is a fascinating insight into what it is to be a grandmother – and it is reassuring to hear what other women have to say.  Our members very much enjoyed her talk.” London Ladies Club, January 2016

On Tuesday at the Beaumont Centre, author Ann Richardson gave Forum members a fascinating insight into the views and experiences of grandmothers from different groups and cultures. She peppered her talk with instances of family relationships and how they change with age and responsibilities. Her examples were drawn from her research and the book which she has written on this topic.” Enfield Borough Over 50s Forum, May 2015
